To kick off the new year with a bang, we have compiled a list of activities for the whole family to enjoy, and to keep the little ones busy during the school holidays.

Tangle By Polyglot Theatre

When: Tuesday 17th January – Friday 20th January 2023

Hours: 10am, 11am, 1:30pm & 2:30pm (daily)

Duration: 1 hour

Cost: $5.00 per person

Location: Plaza at Bunjil Place

Looking for a fun and exciting activity for the kids to enjoy, then why not come and get tangled up in creating a giant, vibrant, interactive artwork that shifts and grows over time.  

With a funky live soundtrack, Tangle is an event where children build and contribute to an exciting public artwork that everyone can enjoy. As they enter, each child is given a ball of colourful elastic thread which they can weave in and around tall golden poles. Gradually, a spectacular, multi-coloured, ever-changing landscape forms – a fascinating place to play, explore and bounce.

Tangle is designed for children aged 2-12 years and their families.

Hot Arts and Cool Kids – Make Your Own Lantern Creature!

When:

Wednesday, 18th January 10:00am-11:30am

Wednesday, 18th January 1:00pm-2:30pm

Where: Cube 37 – 37 Davey Street next door to main theatre

Cost: $18 per child

These school holidays come and get crafty at Cube 37 and create your own unique glowing lantern to take home! Come and unleash your inner monster, all that’s needed is your ideas and imagination!

Make a day of this fun and exciting activity by exploring the art galleries in Cube 37 and the Frankston Arts Centre, before stopping to have a coffee, lunch or a snack at the Writer’s Bloc Café which you can find at the entrance of the library.

The Rainbow Tree

 When: Saturday 14 Jan – Sunday 15 Jan

Time: 6:00pm (Saturday), 10:00am & 2:00pm (Sunday)

Cost: $16 per ticket

Looking for a playful, imaginative and interactive musical for the whole family to enjoy? Head to go see The Rainbow Tree whereby you will guarantee a show filled with fun visual imagery, wonderful original songs, live music and stories written by seven children from Rainbow

The Rainbow Tree is musical storytelling with moving images. Written with children from Rainbow families, it shares personal and imagined stories around the idea of family, identity and community.

Waves On The Beach Restaurant

Open: 7 days a week 11am-10pm
