As part of the City of Casey’s Ageing Positively Festival, earlier this year community members from Narre Warren were asked to share who has power over them and what they wish to say to them. These unique stories were filmed and are told through memoir, poetry, image, music and film in this internationally acclaimed digital theatre event.

These inspiring tales tell a story of our incredibly diverse and wonderful community and speak passionately from the truths of their lived experiences.

Online Q&A: Practice, Persistence, And Plans: How To Build A Creative Life

Where: Online via Casey Cardinia Libraries

When: Tuesday, 5th October

Time: 7:00pm – 8:30pm

Writers Victoria has brought together some of the state’s greatest and most reputable writers to bring you a night filled with discussion and inspiration.

Budding writers know in order to be a writer, you only have to do one thing – write. However, with the world around us being continuously unpredictable and our lifestyles only getting busier, it can be difficult to find the creative space to do so.

Luckily, Casey Cardinia Libraries have gathered three very different writers with very different approaches to their careers and writing, to answer all your questions about their life alongside career management and maintaining a work-life balance.

Kate Mildenhall, Hoa Pham and Ingrid Laguna are going to discuss how they carve out precise and thoughtful time for their art and will guide you in tailoring a creative practice to suit your life.

Sports and Activities at Casey Fields

Where: 160 Berwick-Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne East, VIC

With restrictions now easing a little in Victoria, we can now enjoy a little more of our fantastic local sports and play amenities.

With playgrounds now open for children under 12, along with basketball hoops, skate parks and outdoor exercise equipment, there has been no better time to use your four hours of exercise with some added fun.

We recommend taking advantage of the play space and village green, the elite sporting fields and athletic tracks, tennis and netball courts, as well as the cycling and walking trails.

Don’t forget to check the website however, for the latest updates regarding restrictions.
