Welcome to July!

This month we have great events to get the whole family up and dancing with a showcase by the best urban street performers, a silent disco and an electrifying performance by tribute band, Bohemian Rhapsody. There is also a fantastic theatre production for kids, Roald Dahl’s The Twits not to be missed these school holidays.

The South East Area Throwdown

When: Saturday, 15th July
Time: 6pm – 10pm
Where: Bunjil Place Studio, 2 Patrick Northeast Drive, Narre Warren, Victoria, 3805
Cost: $5

It’s a vibe at Bunjil Place this July as some of the most talented dancers in the region come together for this special performance. Be amazed as they showcase a variety of street dance styles from hip hop, urban dance to breakdance.

It’s a fun family friendly event where everyone can enjoy and be inspired by the creativity of dance.

Roald Dahl’s The Twits

When: Tuesday, 4th July

A theatre production not to be missed these school holidays is Roald Dahl’s The Twits. The Twits are the meanest couple on the block with mischievous tricks and pranks that will stand to outwit almost anyone. Get ready for lots of laughs and mayhem as this classic tale is brought to life.

Wednesday Night Workshop: Reduction Lino Printing

When: Wednesday, 12th July
Where: Boon Wurrung Wurundjeri Meeting Room, Bunjil Place, 2 Patrick NE Dr, Narre Warren
Time: 7.00pm-9.00pm
Cost: $30.00

Get crafty with artist Yaz Gate for an introductory workshop into reduction lino printing. Create your own mono print using a simple technique with soft lino. Suitable for all skill levels, it’s a great creative space for anyone itching to have a go at lino printing!

LOST DOGS’ DISCO – Silent Disco
When: Friday, 7th July
Time: 5pm-6.30pm (30 Minute intervals)
Where: Bunjil Place Plaza, 2 Patrick Northeast Drive, Narre Warren, Victoria, 3805
Cost: $5

Boogie down at the Lost Dog’s Silent Disco with host, Guru Dudu who will get you dancing to disco tunes and while making funny commentary as you bop around the installation. Headphones are provided for a 30 minute disco tour as your favourite four legged friends light up around you.

Queen Bohemian Rhapsody

Bohemian Rhapsody are returning with a spectacular tribute show featuring Queen’s greatest hits with the one and only greatest Freddie Mercury impersonator, Thomas Crane. Queen is no doubt one of the twentieth century’s greatest rock bands known for their explosive stage performances led by the flamboyant Freddie Mercury.

Don’t miss this electrifying tribute band, Bohemian Rhapsody as they take on the greatest Queen hits such as e Will Rock You, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, I Want To Break Free, Another One Bites the Dust and Bohemian Rhapsody.

Winter Arts Festival: Art Bites
