Welcome to September!

Spring is upon us and we have the best events for the whole family and activities to keep kids entertained for the school holidays. Get the family active at Berwick’s Half Marathon with a jog around Berwick Springs Park, enjoy a spectacular musical production by Harkaway College or be amazed by a performance by a new urban circus, 360 All Stars.

Harkaway College Presents Wizard of Oz

When: Friday, 8th September

Time: 7-9pm 

Where: Bunjil Place Theatre, 2 Patrick Northeast Drive, Narre Warren, Victoria, 3805

Harkaway College presents the much loved classic novel and musical, Wizard of Oz. Join Dorothy on her fantastical adventure home, encountering evil characters such as witches and monkeys while befriending animals and a walking scarecrow. Following the Yellow Brick Road they journey to the magical city of Oz where they meet the mysterious and powerful Wizard.

Enjoy a spectacular musical production by Harkaway College as they bring the much loved story to life.

An international smash hit, 360 All Stars is the new urban circus, fusing breakdancing, basketball, BMX, drumming, acrobatics into a spectacular performance that will have you on the edge of your seat. The group is formed of professional artists and athletes, bringing their talents to the stage.

Kids also have the opportunity to learn from the best in the industry with workshops in breakdancing and BMX biking. Don’t miss out on this one off event with world class performers.

Internationally acclaimed artist and Australia’s most successful Tenor, Mark Vincent will be performing a spectacular show this September – An international tribute to Andrew Lloyed Webber with all the incredible classics from famous musical theatre productions such as Phantom of the Opera.

A professional performer since the age of 15, Mark Vincent is an acclaimed Tenor with accolades both nationally and internationally, having received several ARIA #1s for Classical Crossover Albums.

Don’t miss out on a fantastic performance with one of Australia’s most celebrated Tenors with special guest, Julie Lea Goodwin.

A fantastic activity for the school holidays is this collage making workshop guided by multidisciplinary artist, Nicky Tsekouras. A workshop for people aged 13-18 years, participants will be taken through the history of the medium and exercises to help them get inspired as they explore the principles and considerations of collage making.

Berwick Half Marathon 

When: Sunday, 17th September

Time: 6-12pm

Duration: All Day

Where: Berwick Springs Park

The City of Casey is holding its annual half marathon this month on Sunday the 17th of September at the picturesque Berwick Springs Park! Everyone’s a winner with something for the whole family and levels, from a half marathon,  fun run (5km),  Kids Mile (1.6km)  to a Kids Jog (Under 6’s).

Get active with the whole family and be rewarded with a finisher’s medal at the end.

Drop-In Workshop: Cuddly Creatures

When: Thursday, 21st September

Back by popular demand these school holidays is a workshop making your very own cuddly creature from recycled materials. Get creative with different mediums as you create your very own furry friend to take home. Great for children aged 6-12 years.
