Welcome to February!

As we enter the final month of summer, our thriving community is certainly making the most of the warmer weather, putting on a wealth of fabulous events and attractions for the whole family to enjoy.

The Berwick Show 2023 

When: 25-26 February 2023 

Time

Saturday 25 February – 9am-9:30pm

Sunday 26 February 2023 – 9am-4pm

Gates open to public 9am both days

Location: Akoonah Park, Cnr High Street and Cardinia Street, Berwick 

Cost: 14 and under FREE entry 

Bring the whole family to come see the Berwick Show which has a long and proud association with agricultural competition in Victoria whereby their agricultural and horticultural exhibits remain a significant part of their Show. Come and see the cattle exhibit and Horse Sheep Alpaca Goat and Poultry Exhibits. 

A fun day out for the whole family to enjoy!

Rosie Deacon: Spaghetti-Stack-Snuffle-Shuffle 

When: Tuesday – Sunday throughout February

Time: 10.00am–4.00pm 

Location: Bunjil Place Gallery, 2 Patrick NE Dr, Narre Warren

Cost: Free 

Looking for a playful, imaginative and interactive exhibition for the whole family to enjoy? Come interact and step outside your daily reality through Rosie Deacon’s wonderful sculptural installations at Bunjil Place Gallery. 

Deacon’s work explores the relationships between animals and humans, often considering the ways we cohabitate and interact with one another in varying environments.

Multicultural Film Festival 

When: Saturday 4 Feb 2023 

Time: 6.00pm 

Location: Bunjil Place Plaza, 2 Patrick NE, Dr, Narre Warren 

Cost: $7 per person 

The Multicultural Film Festival (MFF) returns to Bunjil Place Plaza for its fourth year, the MFF celebrates multiculturalism through the lens of short films that explores various aspects of cultural diversity and living in multicultural Australia.  

This is an outdoor cinematic event not to be missed!

Tickets cost $7 per person. Tickets include a complimentary beverage, including beer, wine, sparkling or soft drink.

Knit and Natter

When: Weekly on Thursday 

Time: 1.00pm-3.00pm  

Location: Cranbourne West Community Hub, 4 Flicka Blvd, Cranbourne West 

Cost: Free 

Calling all seasoned knitters!

Everyone is welcome to come along and join this knitting group which meets weekly to knit and crochet, completing projects for both themselves and for local charities. 

Come along, meet new friends, knit and natter for fun & therapy! Beginners are also welcome!

Art Smart 

When: Weekly on Monday during school term. 8 Weeks commencing 6 Feb – 3 April 2023  

Time

Session one: 4.00pm-5.30pm (Ages 6 to 9 years)

Session two: 5.30pm-7.00pm (Ages 10 to 14 Years)

Location: Cranbourne West Community Hub, 4 Flicka Blvd, Cranbourne West 

Cost: $95.50 for 8 weeks 

Come along and join in the fun with Cranbourne West Community Hub’s experienced Art teacher. This 8-week course is designed for children wanting to learn new techniques in drawing and painting using different materials. 

All materials provided. Suitable for Children 6-12 years. Bookings required.

Touch & Go, Sally Chance Dance 

When: Thu 9 Feb & Fri 10 Feb  

Time: 10.00am & 1.00pm (both days) 

Duration: 40 minutes 

Location: Studio at Bunjil Place, 2 Patrick NE, Dr, Narre Warren

Cost: $10.00 per child. Ticket includes entry for up to two parents/carers. 

‘Touch & Go’ is the perfect playful and entertaining activity for the little ones to enjoy.

‘Touch & Go’ entices, dares and entertain children in a playful environment. Two and three-year-olds are invited to enter a playful world of shapes and pathways, stepping stones and lines, with two friendly dancers and a live musician.

BodyART @ Cranbourne West Community Hub

When: Classes run every Monday throughout the year 

Time: 10.00am-11.00am 

Location: Cranbourne West Community Hub, 4 Flicka Blvd, Cranbourne West

Cost: Free  

Kick off your shoes and join FREE face-to-face BodyART classes! 

Come and participate in exercises from yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi, BodyART consists of short cardio sessions with fun fast rhythmic music to create harmony between body and mind.

Bookings are essential. You must bring your own water bottle and yoga mat.
