The cooler temperatures are definitely upon us and it’s time to add on a few more layers, however, our thriving community fires up with lots of exciting activities and fun for the whole family to enjoy in the winter – and we can’t wait!  

From art classes, circus and ballet performances to relaxation days, sporting events and markets, our community has done a great job at ensuring that there is something for everyone to enjoy this month.

Art And Relaxation Ladies Event

Kokedama Making Workshop

In case you haven’t heard of them before, Kokedama’s are the perfect potless solution to adding greenery to your home, and not to mention, they make great gifts too – which you can now learn to make for yourself at this incredible workshop. 

Throughout the workshop, you will make your own medium-sized moss Kokedama balls from a wide range of colourful hemp and cotton twine, whilst being instructed step by step by an expert.

Ringmaster Royale – A Quirky Dance Circus

Adult Pottery Class

When: Tuesday, 15th June 2021

Time: 6:30pm – 8:30pm

Where: Old Cheese Factory

Have you always wanted to learn how to mould, sculpt and play with some clay? This adult pottery class hosted by Ana St Clair, allows you to learn the various techniques with clay work, as well as designing and creating your very own unique pieces of pottery. 

After using the wheel and learning the basics, your finished pottery will be coloured, glazed, and decorated with glass and metals. Your instructor Ana, will guide you through your workshop and provide expertise from over 25 years of experience. 

You will walk home with a great understanding of different clay, their uses, knowledge of a great collection of ceramics, and of course your finished piece. 

This is the last time this extremely unique and rewarding experience will be offered to the community, so make sure to grab your tickets quickly!

Mums and Daughters Volleyball Program

When: Tuesday the 8th and 15th June 2021

Time: 5:30pm – 7:00pm

Where: Endeavour Hills Leisure Centre

Calling all mothers and daughters of Casey who want to get active and have fun while doing it!

Come down to Endeavour Hills Leisure Centre for a few friendly and fun games of outdoor volleyball with other women and girls of the community. The sessions are structured into an hour with a warm-up, half an hour of skill development, fifteen minutes of a modified game, and a stretch session to cool off. 

There is no better way to get to know some fellow female members of your local community than through a recreational game of volleyball! 

To play you must be aged 13 years and older, but kids are more than welcome to come to watch.
