Welcome to August!

As we welcome another chilly month of winter, there is no shortage of fantastic events for the whole family to enjoy. Take the kids to see an adorable play with puppets, Hiccup, venture on a sunday market stroll at Akoonah Park or join a community sunset walk at Banjo Park, there is plenty to see and do this month.

Hiccup

When: 22nd, 23rd August

Cost: $5

An endearing tale of a cheery camper venturing into the Australian outback and encountering and befriending quirky Aussie animals. The camper is set upon a mission with his new friends, a quokka, koala and emu, when the koala suddenly develops an ear shattering case of the hiccups, they embark on a journey to find a cure.

A hilarious musical extravaganza and a heartwarming tale the kids will love. Don’t miss this fantastic production for kids aged 4-8.

Akoonah Park Markets

When: Every Sunday

Enjoy a sunday stroll through the vibrant Akoonah Park Market on every sunday in Berwick. There’s lots to see with over 350 indoor and outdoor stalls filled with everything you can imagine from food, fresh produce, flowers, plants, handcrafts, tools, work gear, eco-friendly products, artwork, pet supplies, bric-a-brac, pony rides, jumping castles, and a lot more.

Dad’s Matter Winter Walk

When: Tuesday, 29th August 

Where: Corner of O’Connor Avenue & Grazing Way, Clyde North

Time: 5.00pm-6.30pm

Cost: Free

A great community event for dads, grandfathers, father figures and kids to come together and enjoy a sunset walk and supper. Connect with other locals and get active outdoors with the kids on this delightful crisp sunset evening walk.

Matilda the Musical

When: 16th-19th August

The much loved storybook, Matilda by Roald Dahl is brought to life by Kambrya college this August. The musical follows Matilda, a highly intelligent student with wit and special powers as she navigates a mean headmistress and unloving parents while finding solace in her sweet school teacher, Miss Honey.  A fun, upbeat musical with plenty of catchy songs and dance numbers kids will love.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DAY: YEARS 9 & 10 DRAMA TEACHERS
