Winter is well and truly here so here are our top picks of what to get up to this May whilst staying warm and cosy!

Berwick Drop-in Meditation

Find your inner zen this Winter by giving meditation a try at Timbarra Community Centre. Each week, you will be introduced to the principles of meditation whilst you are guided through breathing techniques which help you to focus and relax.

There is no need to book, just simply show up and get ready to find your inner peace. Refreshments are provided.

When: Weekly on Thursdays, 7.30pm till 9pm

The Explorer – Cranbourne

Head to Cranbourne and discover the beauty of the Australian landscape. Take a trip in The Explorer across the east coast of Australia, around the Riverbend, with your final stop being the fragrant Peppermint Garden, where every plant produces an aroma or fragrance.

When: Daily, 10am to 4pm

Where:  Australian Garden, Cranbourne Gardens

Stargazing at Emerald Lake Park

Bring out your inner astronomer as Cardinia Shire Council and Mount Burnett Observatory invite you to soak up the stars from the beauty of Emerald Lake Park. You will be guided around  Lake Treganowan to see the skies from various viewing points whilst volunteers from Mount Burnett Observatory will share their knowledge of astronomy.

Please note that bookings are essential as places are limited. This will be an experience you won’t forget.

When: Saturday 25th May, 7pm
