When you make Eliston your home you get so much more than the amazing facilities within our estate. Eliston is part of the City of Casey, host to some amazing local amenities with the neighbouring Western Port region just 15 minutes away. Discover what’s on in Clyde and around the City of Casey for November. We’ve round up some great activities in the local area, including free and family friendly events.

Royal Botanic Gardens: Kangaroo Paw Celebration

When: Daily throughout November, from Tuesday 1st November, times vary

Where: Corner of Ballarto Road and Botanic Drive, Cranbourne

What: A month-long celebration of the iconic Kangaroo Paw will see Cranbourne Gardens transformed into a riot of colour, with an abundance of displays featuring this most distinctive of Australian plants.

Dad’s Matter Program: Read-Play-Make, Clyde North

When: Every Wednesday (during School Terms) until December, Wednesday 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd November, 6:00pm – 7:30pm

Where: Cranbourne Library, 65 Berwick-Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne

What: FREE event – registration is essential.

The Read-Play-Make program develops strong relationships between dads and children through story-telling and activities.

The program fosters:
* Share stories, activities and games with your child
* Meet other dads
* Help your children learn though play

Bollywood for Kids, Lynbrook

When: Thursdays 10th, 17th & 24th November, 5:00pm – 6:00pm

Where: Lynbrook Community Centre, Corner of Lynbrook Boulevard and Harris Street, Lynbrook

What: Boys and girls enjoy a learning a fun form of Indian dance. Suitable for children aged five to twelve years old. Tickets $7.

Casey Food & Wine Festival, Berwick

When: Saturday 5th November, 11:00am – 4:00pm

Where: The Old Cheese Factory, 34 Homestead Road, Berwick

What: The Casey Food & Wine Festival at the Old Cheese Factory, will have a range of stall holders from all over Victoria showcasing their products for you to try and buy. Stalls will include gourmet products (jams, chutneys, oils, spices), alcohol suppliers (wine, beer and spirits), cheese and finish off with some dessert and cake suppliers.

Take your taste buds on a journey through the many food trucks, or visit the workshops and demonstrations during the festival.

The event will have a range of areas where you can sit, eat, drink and relax. It is a family friendly event. There will be activities to entertain the children including onsite playground.

Pop Up Playgroup, Cranbourne

When: Tuesday 8th November, 9:30am to 11:30am

Where: Cranbourne Park Shopping Centre

What: Council is hosting a pop-up play session for children 0 – 4 years during school terms in 2016 at various parks in Casey.

Come along and join in the free playgroup  activities with your child including story time, sand play, block play, baby play, imaginary play, music, art and active play. Please bring your hat and snacks.

You can also access information about Council’s extensive programs including; Playgroup, Maternal & Child Health, Kindergarten and Family Day Care while you play together.

The Farmers Market, Berwick

When: Saturday 12th November, 8:00am – 12:30pm

Where: The Old Cheese Factory, 34 Homestead Road, Berwick

What: Held in the picturesque gardens of the local farming property of The Old Cheese Factory in Berwick.The site has many amenities including a childrens playground and cafe.

Farm fresh and organic seasonal fruit, vegetables, herbs and spices, honey, cheeses, jams, condiments and preserves, rare and free range lamb, beef, pork, certified free range eggs, herb and vegetable seedlings. British pies, fruit pies, cakes, artisan loaves and much more.

World Hello Day Event & Exhibition, Cranbourne East

When: Friday 25th November, from 12:00pm

Where: Balla Balla Community Centre, Casey Complex, 65 Berwick Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne East

What: Celebrating Diversity and culture in Cranbourne with a photo contest and exhibition open to all budding photographers, regardless of age, in the Cranbourne community.

You are invited to share and celebrate an image and story of what ‘diversity’ and ‘culture’ means to you. The competition and exhibition aims to celebrate ‘diversity and culture’, while uniting us in an effort to promote peace through the powerful medium of photography and the associated story. This will help build greater individual and community understanding and appreciation of the diversity and culture which makes Cranbourne unique.

Tasty Tunes at Twilight, Berwick

When: Sunday 27th November, 11:00am – 8:00pm

Where: The Old Cheese Factory, 34 Homestead Road, Berwick

What: Come chill your mind and body with amazing food trucks and popular feel good tunes at the Old Cheese Factory.

Throw your picnic rug down, taste some delicious food, sit back and let us entertain you!
