When you make Eliston your home you get so much more than the amazing facilities within our estate. Eliston is part of the City of Casey, host to some amazing local amenities with the neighbouring Western Port region just 15 minutes away. Discover what’s on in Clyde and around the City of Casey for September. We’ve round up some great activities in the local area, including free and family friendly events.

Life Cycle, 55+ Explore Casey Ride

When: Every Friday until December – Friday 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th September, 1:30pm – 3:00pm

Where: Casey Fields, 160 Berwick-Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne East

What: Cycling Victoria presents Life Cycle 55+, a cycling program for people aged 55 years and over who want to get on their bikes and ride. Join this social ride with like-minded individuals on a regular weekly ride. The rides explore the local area and will always start at the same time and location each week throughout the year. The rides will be led by an experienced Life Cycle 55+ Ride Leader.

This will be held at the Casey Fields Criterium Cycling Track.

Dad’s Matter Project: Cook it with Dad, Clyde North

When: Every Saturday (during School Terms) until December, Saturday 3rd & 24th September, 10:30am – 12:00pm

Where: 45 Haflinger Avenue, Clyde North

What: FREE event – registration is essential.

The Cook it with Dad program is an opportunity for fathers and children to experience cooking together. Held every Saturday at the Selandra Family and Children’s Centre (during school term).

The program fosters:
* Dads and children spending quality time and strengthening relationships
* Families learning and eating healthy meals
* Children learning life time skills and building confidence
* Meeting other Dads

Snugglepot & Cuddlepie at Botanic Gardens Cranbourne

When: Tuesday 20  to Thursday 29 September, 10:00am – 11:00am

Where: Corner of Ballarto Rd & Botanic Drive, Cranbourne

What: Enter the world of The Australian Garden and explore nature through the eyes of author May Gibbs – brimming with story, inspiration and wonder. Listen to Snugglepot and Cuddlepie™ stories underneath the Story Tree. Children are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite fairy or Elf. © The Northcott Society and Cerebral Palsy Alliance 2016.

Bookings required. Suitable for children aged 3 to 5 years.

CCLC’s 20th Birthday, Cranbourne Library

When: Friday 23 September, Birthday Funtime: 10:30am – 12:30pm and Official High Tea: 2:00pm – 3:00pm

Where: 65 Berwick-Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne East

What: Celebrate CCLC’s 20th Birthday with the Birthday Funtime session including face painting, balloon twisting and a special visit from Toby the T-Rex.

Then join CLCC for the formal celebration of cake cutting and speeches commemorating the formation of the Library Corporation 20 years ago.

Royal Botanic Gardens: Night Prowl

When: Monday 26 September, 7:00pm to 9:00pm

Where: Corner of Ballarto Road and Botanic Drive, Cranbourne

What: Journey into the bushland to discover the native animals that emerge at night. Keep an eye out for wombats, wallabies and possums! Bring along a torch and dress appropriately for the weather on the day. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Note: program is subject to cancellation on days of extreme weather. Suitable for families with children aged 6+ years.

Dinosaur Day Out, Berwick

When: Wednesday 21 September, 11:00am – 1:00pm

Where: The Old Cheese Factory, 34 Homestead Road, Berwick

What: The Dinosaur Day Out will provide a fun filled activity day for pre-school and primary school aged children during the school holidays.  Kids are encouraged to dress as their favourite dinosaur and explore the beautiful gardens that the Old Cheese Factory provides.  There will be music and children’s activities and of course our well known playground for the children to play on.  Kids lunch packs and mini platters for the adults will be available from the Homestead Café.  It is recommended that both the kids lunch pack and the mini platters be pre-ordered by contacting the Old Cheese Factory to avoid missing out (purchases can also be made on the day).

Super Hero Day, Berwick

When: Wednesday 28 September, 11:00am – 1:00pm
