What’s On In Clyde – November 2019

Hello November!
Eliston residents, November is packed with fun local events, so ensure your month starts off with space in your calendar because it’s going to fill up quickly with the seemingly unending list of things to do.

From city and regional foodie events and a spot of yoga and dancing, to the excitement of the beginning of Christmas activities and events – this is going to be a great month!
Here is a round up of some of our favourite for the month.


When: 9:00AM, Sunday 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th November 2019
Where: Casey Central Park
Cost: Free

As part of the City Of Casey’s Spring into Summer program, Yoga in the Park will be on every Sunday throughout the month of November and aims to motivate our community to participate in various physical activities as we approach the warmer months.

The class includes rhythmic sequenced postures, static postures, breathing and meditation, with the aim to physically increase stamina, strength and flexibility whilst promoting health, harmony and wellbeing.

So, get out and have fun, socialise and meet new people – all while being active and getting the body moving.

Don’t forget to bring your own yoga mat with you!

Where: Hampton Park Progress Association, Arthur Wren Hall, 16-20 Stuart Avenue, Hampton Park
Cost: Free

Every year, on 11 November at 11 am – the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month – we pause to remember those men and women who have died or have been injured in all wars, conflicts and peace operations.

We would like to invite the community for the Remembrance Day service at the Arthur Wren Hall. Arrival 10.30 am for the service at 10.50 am sharp.


When: 7:00PM, Tuesday, 12th and 19th November
Where: Bridgewater Family and Community Centre, 45 Bridgewater Boulevard, Berwick
Cost: Free

Ever wanted to learn how to dance Bollywood style?

Well now you can dance your heart out at this free, fun for the whole family Bollywood Dance program in Berwick. All routines are performed to fabulous Bollywood film songs, ranging from old favourites to current hits, to really get you in the mood. More spots have been added but are filling up fast, so book now to avoid disappointment.

Where: Bunjil Place, 2 Patrick Northeast Drive, Narre Warren
Cost: Free entry, however some workshops will incur a booking fee

Learn all about sustainable living in Casey at this fantastic family-friendly festival.

This event will see over 30 stallholders selling a range of environmentally friendly products and services, whilst talks and workshops will provide you with inspiration on how you can maximise your green living at home. Free children’s entertainment will also be on offer to get the kids involved in green living too.

Some fun free activities to get excited about include:

Bike n’ Blend – Make your own pedal powered smoothie
Up close wildlife experiences with Reptile Encounters
Roving bubble entertainers
Face painting (recycling themes)

Some of the workshops will incur a fee and will be available to be booked through the website, but most of the day’s festivities are FREE to turn up to on the day!

11.15 am – 11.45 am: Reduce your waste
12.00 pm – 12.30 pm: Having a wildlife friendly garden
12.45 pm – 1.15 pm: SECCCA: Energy efficiency in the home

2.15 pm – 2.45 pm: Recycling right

The Night Market returns again this month to Selandra Rise!!

Enjoy all the favourites things the people of the City of Casey and beyond have come to love at this fantastic indoor & outdoor market.

Expect food trucks & marquees, an outdoor bar, live music, children’s entertainment & activities.

Entry to the indoor market requires a Gold Coin Donation to cancer research.

The Casey Philharmonic Orchestra are back with more of the beautiful orchestral music you know and love! This time, conductor Joseph Lallo leads an all-star orchestra featuring international concert pianist Yasmin Rowe, as they present Rachmaninoff’s Paganini Variations. An amazing performance that will leave you speechless!

Casey is gearing up for the festive season with a twilight Makers’ Market bursting with Christmas cheer.
