Hello March!

Welcome to March, the first month of autumn where we embrace slightly cooler temperature and incredible local community events to enjoy. 

In fact, this month, our round up of the top events for the month will help you find something for the littles ones, adult ones and everyone in between.

We hope you enjoy the list we have compiled for you. It’s great to be out enjoying our thriving community again.

AFLW – Melbourne Football Club vs Richmond Tigers

When: 3:10PM, Saturday, March 6th 2021 

Where: Casey Fields, 160 Berwick-Cranbourne Rd, Cranbourne East.  

Cost: $10 

Calling all footy fans! Cheer on the girls from Melbourne’s AFLW team on their home ground, just around the corner from Eliston Estate. 

Watch the Melbourne AFLW Football club, take on the Richmond Tigers AFLW in Round 6 of the home and away season at Casey Fields. 

Ticket holders can also expect plenty of free fun for the whole family to enjoy including face painting, inflatables, mascots and Kick to Kick, which are just a few of the activities that will be running.

When: Thursday 6-8pm, Friday & Saturday 5:30-8pm, Sunday 9am-3pm.

La Casa Sawtellis brings all the warmth and earthy provincial charm of Italy and Italian dining to Tooradin!

Established, owned and operated by Head Chef Roberto Cauzzo, and his partner and artist Brigitte Dawson, together the duo have built a unique, colourful and deliciously produced food establishment. Gaze upon the walls inside the restaurant, filled with paintings and sculptures, whilst the wonderful tunes of the guitarist playing outside flows inside. 

Locally known for their great food, great wine, and old fashioned high level service, you are guaranteed to have the ultimate dining experience at Sawtellis. Make sure to check out their authentic wood fired pizzas that are made with love and cooked in a traditional wood fired oven hand built by Roberto himself!

Berwick Farmers Market

Where: Old Cheese Factory, 34 Homestead Road, Berwick

Head to Berwick Farmers Market, which is the place to get all your locally grown, fresh produce and value-added goods. 

They have a vast range of ready to eat goodies as well as best in the region organic veggies, artisan bread, fresh fruits, preserves and much more!

Holi Festival 2021

When: 11:00AM – 4:30PM, Saturday, March 20th 2021 

Where: Casey Central Town Park, Narre Warren South 

Cost: Free Entry 

Brought to you by The Bright Events, the Holi Festival is back this year and boy is it set to be a big one. 

This incredible, family friendly, indian festival is known around the world for the vibrancy of coloured powder that revellers throw on each other, leaving festival-goers coated in colour by the end of the day!

Come along with your family and friends to enjoy the energy of the festival, scrumptious food by various famous food vendors, variety stalls, Bollywood dance performances, massive DJ lineup & nonstop music for all those dance lovers and the fun of playing with powdered colour water balloons.

Please note that the colour powder used during this festival is made out of cornstarch and edible flowers which can also be used in food preparation as well, its non-toxic, stain-free and free from harmful metals & chemicals.

The festival will operate in guidance with a COVID safe plan and you MUST register or you will not gain entry.

Call Of The Wild – Food & Music Festival Bushfire Relief 

When: 1:00PM – 7:30PM, Saturday, March 20th 2021 

Where: 150 – 156 South Gippsland Highway, Cranbourne 

Cost: Free Entry 

Come & support the Call of The Wild – Bushfire relief at this incredible, entertainment filled charity event for the whole family. 

The festival will provide the platform to raise awareness in addition to funds for surviving Australian wildlife and species hard hit by the recent bushfires. With over 1 billion animals lost, the time to act is now! All profits go to Wildlife Victoria and small animal care organisations.

There will be delicious foods from some of Melbourne’s best foodies, a bar, talented musical artists from DJs to live bands, kids face painting and cultural dancers, that will bring together what’s set to be a festival for all the senses!

Call Of The Wild – Food & Music Festival Bushfire Relief

 

Matilda Jr The Musical

When: 6:00PM, Tuesday 23rd – Friday 26th March 2021 

Where: Rosanove Auditorium, St Margaret’s Place, Berwick 

Cost: Adults $20 and Children $15  

The children of St Margaret’s and Berwick Grammar School, are proud to bring you Matilda The Musical. 

Matilda JR is the story of an extraordinary little girl with extraordinary powers. The daughter of unkind parents, Matilda finds refuge in library books, which she reads quickly and in creating her own stories, learns to stand up for herself.  

With most students from the schools participating in the show, it’s a wonderful night out with the family to support the local community whilst enjoying the show and is suitable to all ages. 

Please note that the show will run for approximately 75 minutes, without an interval. 

Before and after the show light refreshments will be for sale, including official Matilda merchandise.

Clip ‘n Climb 

When: From 10am Tuesday -Sunday, 9am Saturdays and Closed on Monday.
