Welcome to November!

As we approach the end of the year, there are great festivities and outdoor events happening as we step into the last month of the Spring season. From celebrating the Hindu festival of lights at an exciting Diwali Festival in Berwick to exploring the abundance of stalls at the Akoonah Park Spring Carnival Night Markets, it’s time to get into the festival spirit and enjoy the atmosphere as we begin to welcome the holiday season.

Akoonah Night Market

When: Saturday, 3rd November

Time: 4-9pm

Where: Akoonah Park, 2 Cardinia St, Berwick VIC 3806

Cost: Free

A great local community event in Berwick, the Spring Carnival Night Market lights up Akoonah Park on the 3rd of November. This vibrant night market has an array of delicious food, drinks, stalls and live music. Soak up the community atmosphere this Spring at this vibrant market.

Diwali Festival

When: Sunday, 5th November

Where: Federation University, 100 Clyde Road, Berwick, VIC 3806

Time: 4-10pm

Cost: Free

Celebrating the festival of lights this November, the Hindu celebration of Diwali is a time to welcome prosperity, wisdom and happiness. Join in on the festivities at the Federation University in Berwick with live performances, amusement rides, market stalls, a wide variety of unique foods and entertainment, not to mention a spectacular fireworks display!

Deanne Fordham School of Dance 2023 Production: The Wizard of Oz

When: Saturday, 4th November

Time: 2pm-4:30pm

Where: Bunjil Place Theatre, 2 Patrick Northeast Drive, Narre Warren, Victoria, 3805

Cost: $45-$55

Experience a spectacular showcase of dance from ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop, musical theatre and acrobatics brought to you by the Deanne Fordham School of Dance. Dancers of all ages come together for a performance of storytelling and creative choreography, taking a unique spin on the classic tale of Wizard of Oz through dance.

Jump In!

When: Friday, 17th November

Time: 4-9.30pm

Where: Bunjil Place Plaza, 2 Patrick Northeast Drive, Narre Warren, Victoria, 3805

Cost: Free

Jump In! is back for another year, featuring tunes, food, basketball, street art and an exciting hip hop cypher competition to entice all hip hop lovers.

This free hip hop event is created by local emerging hip hop artists to inspire the community about the world of hip hop. Try your hand at a rhyme or watch the professionals, the vibe is friendly and welcoming for everyone to get involved.

Multicultural Film Festival 2023

When: Saturday, 18th November

Time: 6.30-9.30pm

Where: Bunjil Place Plaza, 2 Patrick NE Dr, Narre Warren VIC 3805 

Cost: $7

The annual Multicultural Film Festival explores diversity and multiculturalism through film and powerful storytelling. Starting the night off with live music and a Q&A with the filmmakers before moving onto a screening of 7 short films by diverse and talented filmmakers.

Feel inspired and uplifted by these films brought to you in partnership with the Victorian Multicultural Commission and Swinburne University.
